טְלַל

טְלַלI ch. sam( טָלַל (b. h.; cmp. דלל, תלל) blessed with dew), Pa. טַלֵּיל to make a טְלָלָא; to cover, screen. Targ. 1 Kings 6:9 (h. text ספן). Targ. Y. Ex. 40:21 (O. Af.; h. text ויסך). Ib. 25:20 מְטַלְלִין (O. מַטְּלִין); a. fr.Succ.31a (a beam) דגזלה ומְטַלֵּל עלה Ms. M. (ed. דגזולה only) which one stole and put upon it the covering of the Succah, v. מְטַלַּלְתָּא.Part. pass. מְטַלַּל, f. מְטַלִּלָא. B. Kam.50b משום ומט׳ because the cave is roofed.
